Helping to meet the transportation needs of a growing population in a decentralized region, this first phase of the Metro Gold Line provides light rail service linking cities and communities from Los Angeles to Pasadena.
Stations feature site-specific artworks commissioned from local artists by the Metro Transit Authority. Responsible for hardscape design, LADA coordinated with the MTA; the various cities, communities and artists; the design team of Huitt-Zollar, Melendrez Partners (softscape) and the design-build contractor, Parsons-Washington, in bringing about the successful execution of each plaza.
